What does this privacy policy cover?

This Privacy Policy explains how GoSoapBox collects and uses information from you and other users who access or use the Services, including our treatment of Personal Information. This policy does not apply to websites, services or practices of companies that we do not own or control, even if they help us operate our Services. Third party providers who do help us operate our Services must adhere to privacy and security obligations in a manner consistent with GoSoapBox’s policies and practices.

Information you provide to us

We receive and store any information you knowingly enter on the Services, whether via computer, mobile phone, tablet, other wireless device, or that you provide to us in any other way. This information may include Personal Information such as your name, email address, school identifier, credit card details, or any other information necessary for us to provide our Services. You may choose not to provide us with certain information, but then you may not be able to take advantage of many of our features.

If an Organizer or an Organization administrator uploads or adds information about you to your account, you may have to contact and work directly with that Organizer or administrator in order to modify or remove that information.

Information collected automatically

We receive and store certain types of information whenever you use the Services. GoSoapBox automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser including a GoSoapBox authentication cookie, the page you requested, and other usage information such as your activity on the Services, the numbers and frequency of visitors to our site, and its components. None of this information constitutes Personal Information. Certain information that is collected automatically, such as IP address, will be treated as Personal Information.

Email and text message communications

If you provide us your email address, GoSoapBox may send you administrative messages (such as updates, notifications, newsletters, and other news) relating to the Services or to respond to communications from you. By maintaining a GoSoapBox account and/or not opting out of receiving information from GoSoapBox, you acknowledge and agree that you may receive email from GoSoapBox. If you no longer wish to receive administrative email messages from GoSoapBox you may opt-out by following the unsubscribe link located at the bottom of each message or by emailing us at support@gosoapbox.com. Please note that if you do not want to receive legal notices from us, such as this Privacy Policy, those legal notices will still govern your use of the Services, and you are responsible for reviewing the legal notices for changes.

Personal information from children

Children under the age of 13 must have a parent, legal guardian, or teacher provide consent on their behalf before using GoSoapBox. GoSoapBox does not encourage teachers to request Personal Information from children under the age of 13.

Will GoSoapBox share any of the personal information it receives?

GoSoapBox relies on its users to provide accurate Personal Information in order to provide our Services. We try our best to protect that information and make sure that we are responsible in handling, disclosing, and retaining your data. We neither rent nor sell your Personal Information to anyone. GoSoapBox does share as subset of the personal information you provide to the primary account holder in order to allow them to receive metrics regarding end-user usage.

We strive to take appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or alteration of your personal information. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, you acknowledge that: (a) there are security and privacy limitations inherent to the Internet which are beyond our control; and (b) security, integrity, and privacy of any and all information and data exchanged between you and us through this Site cannot be guaranteed. Please note that non-encrypted communication using email is not secure. Thus, we cannot guarantee data security in email communication and, therefore, recommend using physical mail for confidential information.

International Transfer

We operate globally so it is necessary to transfer your information internationally. In particular, your information will likely be transferred to and processed via servers located in the United States. GoSoapBox does not participate in Privacy Shield at this time. However, GoSoapBox may rely on the EU-US Privacy Shield to transfer personal information to some of our third-party service providers in the United States, where they are certified to receive such information under the Privacy Shield Program.

Data Retention

GoSoapBox will retain your personal information for as long as the primary account holder maintains an active account. Your personal information may shared with the primacy account holder upon their request. If a primary account holder request for deletion, then your personal information will be permanently deleted.

Your Rights

You may benefit from a number of rights in relation to your information that we process. Some rights apply only in certain limited cases, depending on your location. If you would like to manage, change, limit, or delete your personal information, you can do so via your account settings or by contacting us. Upon request, GoSoapBox will provide you with information about whether we hold any of your personal information. By visiting your account settings, you can access, correct, change, and delete certain personal information associated with your account. In certain cases where we process your information, you may also have a right to restrict or limit the ways in which we use your personal information. In certain circumstances, you also have the right to request the deletion of your personal information, and to obtain a copy of your personal information in an easily accessible format. If you need further assistance, you can contact GoSoapBox and we will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe.

If we process your information based on our legitimate interests as explained above, or in the public interest, you can object to this processing in certain circumstances. In such cases, we will cease processing your information unless we have compelling legitimate grounds to continue processing or where it is needed for legal reasons. Where we use your data for direct marketing purposes, you can always object using the unsubscribe link in such communications or changing your account settings.

Business transfers

If GoSoapBox (or substantially all of its assets) is acquired by another company, user information may be one of the assets transferred to or acquired by that company. You acknowledge that such a transfer may occur, and that any acquirer of GoSoapBox may continue to use your Personal Information as set forth in this policy. You will be notified via email or some other means of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your Personal Information (including the right to delete your information). If GoSoapBox goes out of business without a successor, GoSoapBox would delete your information.
